Since now more than 100 years, “SKØIERN” sails, embarking hundreds of sailors, all in love with this boat, which whom nobody’s blind.
We made this website to honored her and tell her history. We have celebrated her centenary in Port Lay, on the island of Groix, and then in Grimstad where “SKØIERN”, born “MARS”, went to moor in front of the shipyard which built her, a hundred years later, together whith her “young sister” “LADY III”, born “LIV”.

First built as a cruising yacht, to sail in scandinavian waters, “SKØIERN” will sail and compete,en Britany up to 1979, then in the Med for about twenty years, and, from 2000, open new horizons from Norway to Argentina, passing in Africa, Brazil, Uruguay, Caribian, go through Panama, then Easter island, Polynesia and Britsh Columbia, Alaska, California, Mexico, Costa Rica, Chile, the Staten Island, the Falkland, Guianas, Haïti, Cuba, the Azores, Saint Pierre et Miquelon… and now back in Britany, in Douarnenez.
